Read the articleEmet is Deel’s AI lab for model evaluation and training, specializing in how businesses run: payroll, HR, compliance, legal and finance. We build benchmarks and expert training data, and we’re building RL environments, to make AI better at the work that runs a business, starting with payroll and global work. Emet is open to every model builder.
Emet is Deel’s AI lab. Deel runs payroll, HR, and compliance for 40,000+ companies in 150+ countries, so our first benchmarks come from work Deel does every day. Deel’s network also lets Emet find, verify, and pay experts compliantly around the world.
EmBench is Emet’s family of benchmarks for business operations. It tests how AI models handle the work that runs a business, starting with payroll and the rules of working across borders. Every model, ours included, is scored against expert answers. Each answer is scored on how complete and correct it is, not just whether it sounds right. Each benchmark’s page has its full details.
We build the benchmarks and training data that labs use to train their models, and we’re building RL environments. Emet itself isn’t a model. Deel also trains its own AI. Pangaea is Deel’s family of AI models for payroll and compliance, built with Emet’s help.
Practicing professionals in payroll, compliance, legal, finance, and sales. Emet sources them through Deel, which pays people in 150+ countries for 40,000+ companies. That means true specialists from anywhere, contracted and paid compliantly.
Because in business, almost right is wrong. A payroll error means someone isn’t paid correctly. A wrong clause in an employment contract can lead to a legal dispute. A missed compliance rule can mean fines. Deel sees what’s at stake every day, across 150+ countries. Automated checks are only as good as the standard behind them. Our experts set that standard, and automation helps us apply it at scale.
Every engagement is scoped to your data handling requirements before work begins. Emet doesn’t use your data to train or fine-tune any model. Client data is anonymized before experts see it, either by you before sharing or by Deel as part of setup. Experts only access what’s needed to complete the defined task.
Pricing depends on the project. Tell us what you need, and we’ll scope it with you.
